Mr. Mohammedi Miabhoy joined Tapal Tea in 1990 as General Manager and is presently holding the position of the COO. In the year 1991, he was given the responsibility of setting up the sales channel in North which covered all of Punjab and NWFP. He set up a network of 200 plus distributors and also was instrumental in setting up a sales office and a production facility which is capable of producing ten thousand tons per annum in a single eight hour shift.

He came back to Karachi in 2003 and is now responsible for the operations of the company. Prior to Tapal, Mr. Moahmmedi worked for Dow Chemicals USA, Canadian Jeans Company, makers of Wrangler brand jeans in Pakistan and Continental Biscuits, makers of LU Biscuits in Pakistan.

Mr. Abid Raza started his career in 1987 after graduating from Institute of Business Administration with an MBA in Marketing. Since then he has worked in the fields of Functional Management, General Management, Directorial & Chief Executive Officer portfolios with Organizations like Pepsi Cola International, Artal Group Belgium, Dubai Investments Consumer Division, Pakistan's Premier Media Giant The Jang Group, Coca Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited and most recently associated with Modern Retailing Chain D' Mart as Chief Executive.

Mr. Raza is an avid trainer, who has conducted over 200 workshops over the span of his career, in the areas of Functional and Operational Training and Development. His attitude towards team building is a huge asset for the company, and his staff are all being groomed to take leadership positions in the coming years.

Mr. Irteza Qureshi is a UK qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of proven track record in developing business strategies and delivering results, value creation, turning around loss making operations, organizational alignment & restructuring, developing organizational capability and infrastructure, acquisitions and business development.

Mr. Irteza started his career with PriceWaterhouse Coopers, London in 1991 and has held senior management positions in the fields of General and Functional Management with The Coca-Cola Company, Al Ghurair Group and Kansai Paint. Mr. Irteza brings with him diverse experience in areas of operations, finance, audit, consultancy, treasury and business development and valuable work experience in United Kingdom, Thailand, UAE, Iran, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.

Mr. Mohsin M. Saify is a seasoned tea taster by profession, having experience of more than 25 years in the area of tea tasting and procurement. Completing his graduation from Karachi University, Mr. Saify has been associated with Tapal Tea (Private) Limited since 1981.

Mr. Saify is the head of the department that is responsible for managing the entire tea procurement and blending operation including the installation of state of the art blending plants. In the year 2010-11, due to his vast experience and exposure in the tea trade and industry, he has also served as Chairman, Pakistan Tea Association. He has also been privileged to be selected unanimously as one of the international jury for 3 consecutive years for United Planter’ Association of Southern India in their Golden Leaf India Awards Competition 2004-2007.

Muhammad Shabbir is an MBA with over 20 years of work experience. He has worked in professional companies, both multinational and national, including Bayer Pakistan, Boots Pharmaceuticals, Bristol Myers Squibb Pakistan and Gillette Pakistan; in the field of Planning, Procurement and Material Management.

After successfully working in the Supply Chain function of Tapal for over 15 years; he has been moved to the Production Department, where he is now looking after the Production and Maintenance of Tapal, Nationally.

Mr. Own Ali is a Chartered Accountant with an in-depth knowledge of Corporate Laws, such as Income Tax and Sales Tax. He joined Tapal in 1991 and has been an integral part of the organization ever since. Over the years, he has been responsible for automating and streamlining financial systems at the company.

Mr. Imran Ali Khan is currently looking after the Human Resources function. He initially joined Tapal Tea as a HR Planning Manager in 2006. Having completed his B.Sc Hons in psychology, Imran went on to complete an MSc in Industrial psychology program at the University of Karachi. With work experience spanning over 10 years he has performed in generalist as well as specialist areas including Recruitment, Training and Organizational Development.

This journey has given him the opportunity to work in the Healthcare, Media and Oil industries in Pakistan. Imran has worked with the intention to synchronize Human Resource solutions with business needs in order to add value to the business and continues to move forward with this belief.

Mr. Anjum Pervaiz founded Administration Department as an Administration Manager. He also looked after Finished Goods and Logistics functions of the Company. During his course of duties he undertook different constructional projects and later formed Projects Department. As General Manager Projects he has undertaken various Interior Designing of offices projects in Karachi, Raiwind and Lahore, identified lands in different regions and constructed state of art warehousing facilities with front office area for Sales & Marketing in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Multan. More projects are underway at miscellaneous locations and being done according to the specified standards of the Company.

Mr. Hussain Mithaiwala has sound academic background with qualifications in Chemical Technology and Business Management from Karachi. Prior to Tapal Tea, he has been associated with companies like Getz Pharma, Reckitt Benckiser, Parke Davis and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). He has an extensive and diverse experience in all aspects of Operations, Quality and Supply Chain Management of these international and global companies. He has a rewarding and well groomed career on his credit which spans over 19 years. At Tapal Tea, he leads all aspects of the Supply Chain function including sourcing, procurement, materials & production planning, warehousing, logistics and distributions. With the unique blend of his academics and diversified experience, he has been contributing to the efficiencies and effectiveness of Supply Chain Management in Tapal Tea.

Mr. Asher Zahid is a PMP certified professional with 17 years of experience in technology management in diverse industries. A graduate in electrical engineering with a Master’s in Computer Engineering from USA, he started his career in the USA as a design engineer and progressed to management positions. He has extensive experience in setting up and revamping organizational technology infrastructure as well as deploying business systems/ERPs.

His industry exposure includes FMCGs, manufacturing, financial services and technology concerns. At Tapal, he has been responsible for automating and creating the IT infrastructure.

With over 10 years of core audit experience, and a CISA qualification, Mr. Salman Ahmed is the right man for these critical roles. Mr. Salman Ahmed had a mandate to modernize and re-engineer the internal audit function by developing internal audit Charter, Manual, Procedures and top of them building team. Mr. Salman Ahmed’s Career of 9 years at Tapal revolves around managing Internal Audit functions, Services Quality Assurance operations and Management Representative for Integrated Management System (based on ISO Standards - ISO 9001 & OHSAS18001).
